I ain't your fricking babysitter lobos.

Just cause you want a minute of peace doesn't mean everybody else wants to deal with this. You spit them out, you deal with them.

Pretty sure the most proud my dad has ever been of me is when we were leaving a nice restaurant in Nola when I was about 8 and an elderly couple stopped him and said my sisters and I were the most well behaved children they had ever seen in a restaurant. Thought my dad was going to cry

You don't see it at all these days, but my parents told me of several places in late 60's and early 70's that would have a sign in front of restaurant saying no kids under the age of 10. They should bring that back.

And you brag about how you got a great immune system. Playing in a kitchen would teach you good.

Get the stick out of your arse. Let the kids have fun.

That being said we don't take the kids to restaurants where kids can't do at least a little running around.

One reason I love SF, no children. Just avoid Noe Valley and you're golden.

I did have friends that had two young boys that are 366 days apart. the mother confused good manners with being well-behaved. she thought her kids were well-behaved because they said please and thank you --before they screamed and threw food

You should expect that when you eat at Applebee's

My wife knows better than to ask to bring kids to a nice restaurant.

Stay home if you can't afford to eat at a decent restaurant.

No matter the level of restaurant kids should sit their arse down and stay at their own table.

I think I remember a restaurant like this that had an "adults only" section (I was like ~6-8yrs old, early 90s), but they would let us sit there as I was a really well behaved and quiet kid, probably due to being an only child and thus spending most of my time around adults.

I had the same experience. How has this influenced you as an adult?
