When did this become acceptable, I'm talking about young children. I see it a lot with Air Force Yankee parents. Small children running around, breaking things, throwing things, screaming etc. the parents actually sit there and watch this happen, doing nothing.

It's not acceptable. It may be commonplace, but certainly not acceptable.

Millenial parents don't want to stifle their kids personalities.

Cause you can't whip your kids in public anymore without prosecution and public shame.

I mean acceptable for the parents who let it happen, and yes it seems very commonplace.

Letting little brats run around screaming in a nice restaurant when I'm trying to enjoy a good meal really pisses me off.

I actually watch a couple of children commandeer a handicap scooter at Albertsons and proceed to drive it around the store running into displays, it looked like even store management was afraid to say anything until they ran into and broke some jelly jars. All while the mother and I assume grandmother watched and did nothing.

the other day, I was in line at costco and there's a young child screaming behind me, after a few seconds and no shushing from the parents, I just turned around and looked the child right in the eyes....he simply STFU.

Kids are gonna be kids. Just mind your own business and don't worry about it.

On one hand kids are going to misbehave in public, and I understand that. On the other hand a lot of people are inconsiderate frick heads.

This makes for a nice story, but it never actually happens.

Having kids run around and being a nice restaurant are mutually exclusive.

I do the same thing. I'm not afraid to say anything or stare a child down. I've even growled at a few kids.

Damn bro, you must be pretty tough to intimidate children. You go picking fights at retirement homes as well?

I don't understand why they don't respect other people's shopping experience

Last two times I was at target there were screaming kids. One was laughing at her son and the other was ignoring her kid, not even telling them to stop

It's like they thought they were at Walmart

Its not "just AF Yankees". there is a school of thought that says to let kids do whatever they want to.

I detest it. I know of three couples who let this happen.
