Fat thumbs.

Need to get a ton of paint samples tomorrow. Heard you can get Home Depot to match exact samples of Benjamin Moore and sherwin Williams colors. Is this true? Paid $9 for several samples at SW recently and don't need near the amount they gave me. Just enough to go test once my Sheetrock is hung.

Tia.

Fat thumbs don't explain your horrible thread title.

HD, Lowes, and pretty much all paint businesses will match. You can download apps on your pc and phone and get the same thing. There's some pretty good sofwtare. Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams both have pretty good apps. Also check out their online stuff. It's pretty involved. You can play with colors on walls, etc. in the online stuff. Don't remember if apps have it.

We used SW, make sure for a wall sample you paint from the floor to ceiling about 3' wide to get accurate depiction of how it will look on the wall. I quit using HD & Lowes for paint they're slow as frick and I've had problems with consistency with the Lowe's in Gonzales. The samples can get pricey but best to spend a little upfront to get the right paint that regret a bad decision later.

If you are repainting and want an exact match, cut out a small square of the surface layer of the Sheetrock of painted area and take to Home Depot. They will match that with their computer and it will be fine.

If you take any paint samples to most paint stores they can match....

Thanks! It's for new construction so no need for that. I got several paint schedules from my interior design person, lots of paint colors to evaluate which is why I was thinking it would be nice to get them for $3 versus $9 per sample. Appreciate it!
