There is a new thing, it's an injection that leaves basically a sack of fluid under the skin which seeps into the system over a period of time. The pet has droopy skin areas where the fluid amasses. It's kind of creepy and cool at the same time.

Bring him in dude. He might have problems all night while you're sleeping. Start a bloody stool GoFundMe account to help with the cost.

My GSD did that a few years ago and the conclusion was that the bone she had been chewing on somehow irritated the lining of her intestines, but nothing was perforated according to the Xray. She was dehydrated and they gave her a fluid injection on her neck which would slowly be absorbed. It looked like she had a softball under her skin and if you pressed it, fluid would leak out. They gave her some bland dog food and antibiotics and she was good too go in a day or so. That 5 dollar bone cost me about 500 bucks once everything was said and done, but I would pay it again in a heartbeat.

Very eloquently and correctly said. Except for the medical school part. I'm not that smart.

Just remember, if you wait and things get worse for the pup, your vet bill will likely be more tomorrow and it may exceed any emergency fee you are charged tonight.

Better safe than sorry IMO. Go now.

Try feeding him some moist dog food. Or some rice and chicken cooked up.
Our beagle will get an upset stomach from time to time and not eat for a day, and will shite a nasty diarrhea.
We've been told he basically he has what's essentially like IBS.
But we can get our dog to eat moist dog or even cat food.

How long has it been since he ate?

LSU vet is 95.00 for a consultation I think. They will tell you up front what tests are needed & how much. Prices aren't as bad as everyone says IMO.

Little update. He ate all his food and drink a good bit of water. Took him for a good little walk and he seems to be acting fine. Hasn't had another bowel movement since earlier. I'm going to have him sleep in the room so I can monitor him during the night. Got in touch with my vet and let him know I would be bringing him in in the morning.

My dog ate a corn cob that my god daughter (3) was eating. It was shitting blood then brought her to the vet. Vet said she will pass it. 2800$ and 1 surgery later she is doing better..
