I had a friend saw open my paw paw's bank today. Nothing but old coinage from 1976 and earlier. What's a legit place to check on their value?

There are a good number of websites to check the value of coins. honestly, don't get your hopes up that there is going to be much of value in there...a quarter from 1976 is still worth a quarter.

I hope you mean a whole lot earlier.

I doubt any coin is worth more than actual value any newer than possibly the silver half dollars from 1964 and earlier.

All U.S. coins from 1964 and earlier with ridges around the edge are silver and worth more.

1965 and later...not so much.
