I wonder if they salvaged some meat...do people eat reindeer?
And for some reason this is sad to me. Why do I not give a frick about real deer but think this is sad? Maybe they remind me of Christmas or something.

That's definitely what that is to take out so many instantly, but you don't see much physical damage.
We had a horse struck once that blew out part of it's chest and burned her badly. She died. Then had a calf just in the last year that was found dead with no marks whatsoever. Had a big lightning storm come through the night before. That's all we could figure happened, but there were no marks or evidence of a strike.
