I'm not sure how I feel about shooting someone who is running away. People say it's wrong, but I know if I was in that situation I would be thinking that the guy could come back or pull his own gun and start shooting. I wouldn't feel safe until the guy is down for the count.

So, you've never visited your family home?

Don't think you can give an individual the benefit of the doubt. Kill them and be sure the threat is gone. Not
Much else you can do really.

My park doesn't have crime ridden streets like New Orleans......

Total shithole. I'd never live there. Flood it and start all over
you talking about PJ's park?

Because pretty sure that entire area got flooded out last year. Unfortunately the meth cooking trash didn't go anywhere... what can you do?

It's not really wrong. Someone can still be a threat despite the fact that they are not facing you.

But I am not bringing my family, my Grandchildren who would love the Aquarium, the Park, the Bengiets, etc, etc, etc... and risk their lives - exposing them to a Life Altering experience where "Pa Pa shot the thug"

May I suggest alternatives

The Aquarium .......Chattanooga, Gatlinburg, etc.
The Park............The US Park Jean LaFitte, on the south/west side of the river. Lots of walking trails and a real swamp.
The Beignets........Jefferson Parish, the Morning Call coffee stand just lakeward from Lakeside Mall in Metrie.
There's also a Cafe du Mond in the shopping center, but Morning Call was first in the quarter and then they chose to flee.

The one thing that older children deserve to see is the New Orleans Museum of Art. The Faberge Eggs should be seen once your family are old enough to appreciate them, and the Marie Antoinette Portrait ....after a teenaged daughter has read and written a book report, then seeing the portrait has a whole new meaning and feeling.

The man opened fire, shooting the stranger three times. The stranger ran away while reaching for his waistband, police said.

Probably trying to hold up his pantses.

And the world rejoiced. Now this just needs to happen about 100 more times and maybe these animals will think twice about robbing people

Anybody else remember when cars exiting I-10 near the quarter were having their windows smashed (when stopped for a red light) and purses snatched?

UNTIL they smashed the wrong window and the lady behind the wheel blew what passed for brains in a perp all over the interior of her car.

And no furter windows were broken at those exits for a long, long time.

Negative. I had a home on metairie road. Family home is in city.

Besides, metairie is just new Orleans for white people.

Me neither. I'm just saying every scared male I know that needs to carry a gun to feel safe dreams about being in the situation to use it.

Good guns with guns > bad guys with guns. They don't get any range time with their stolen firearms. If more people trained and carried and started shooting these thugs it would reduce crime

that's just ignorant

I fricking hate the violent crime I see on the news but I also don't know anyone that is trained with firearms that ever want to be in a situation to have to use it.

Stop shooting at people running away

It's the only way the shitheads can push to get charges on you. You clean shoot, let him run and die else where, then they cant do a damn thing.

You start shooting people in the back as they run away, ur are at the mercy of DA and his office.

Why even put urself in that situation.
