OT World Travelers.. I'll be in Seoul for a week, what to do there?

Flying in this weekend and will land around 3:15pm local time on Sunday. Stay is the whole week.
A buddy says I should go get a custom fitted suit as soon as I get there so it would be ready before I leave. He says they are ridiculously cheap ($150) and would be one of the better suits I ever own.
It's for work and I'll be with a couple of colleagues, so the obligatory hookers and blow isn't an option.

Crazy night life if you go to the right districts (I forget which ones; it's been a couple years; I'm Korean). You can embrace the Korean business life with a Korean food feast with a table-ful of soju bottles and then Karoke afterwards. Cleanse at a public bathing house (sauna). Grab some coffee and treats at one of the thousands of cafes or go with some spicy streetside food stands in the morning (Baskin Robbins is legit in Korea ). Check out Namdehmoon for shopping and haggling.
Have fun!

Be AMAZED. It's stunning in it's energy and wide roads and tall buildings. Ask a knowledgeable local where you can get a really good bowl of Ginseng Chicken and feast. Eat and drink, walk around the central districts get some Korean bbq, some kimchi and drink some beer. Chicks man. Stay away from "that" part of town. Koreans aren't down with the sex trade like the Japanese.

I think the border is the best trip...no joke.
But the palace at Suwon is super cool, there's a giant golden Buddha there, too.

Itaewon is the huge shopping district there. When I was in Korea (MANY years back) I bought a 3 piece pinstriped suit custom tailored for just under $50. For an extra $5, the shopkeeper had me sign my name on a piece of paper and he put my signature in gold thread on the inside lapel.
Also, if you're into that thing, I'm sure that you can find a bus trip going to the DMZ. It's about 30 miles away.

Drink a soju kettle if you can find one...soju/Bacchus combo.
White dogs are a good soju mix

The suits are legit, but I wouldn't get one without the help of a Korean friend. If you go Itaewon, they'll try to rip you off now. That area has become more trendy than in past years.
There's a lot to do in a week. I would:
1. Visit the DMZ. Make sure you go on a weekday and book your trip through the USO. They'll bring to Panmunjom and give you a glimpse of the North Koreans.
2. Tour the War Museum. It's huge, has a lot to show, and it's free.
3. Hike Namsan mountain and get the best view of the city.
3. Take a stroll on Cheonggyecheon, a scenic stream that goes all around the city.
4. Visit at least one palace. I'd recommend Gyeongbukgong.
5. Eat! Korean food is great and relatively cheap.
6. Party your arse off until sunrise in Itaewon, Hongdae, or Gangnam (depending on your budget).
7. If you're traveling with a SO, I'm sure she'll drag you to Hello Kitty type places that are everywhere. She'll also like the shopping around Namdaemun and I think the cherry blossoms are starting to bloom around this time It's the price you'll pay during the day for the debauchery at night. If you're single man, then I'd recommend trying to hook up with a local. Korean women are beautiful and most 20-35 year olds in Seoul will speak enough English to get by. Trust me in this... I married one

Damn, that last guy looks like Ken Jeong from The Hangover.
TP, when were you in Korea? I was there (Osan AB) in 1983 - 84. Sounds like your info is more current and better than mine.
