I have been traveling a lot the past few months for work, sometimes in the US sometimes outside the US and I've come to find that there is a pretty big disparity in what soap and shampoo various hotels offer.
Any favs, and do you ever get extra to bring home?

Why do all Hotels have a "massage" bar of soap with the bumps on one side? It's seems like if people actually liked that, it would catch on for regular bars of soap as well. It's not like when I'm at a hotel, I suddenly need a crappy massage from a 60 cent bar of soap

The Hotel Schweizerhof in Zurich has Bulgari bath products. That's the only one I can actually remember. Also, the Lowe's in Nola has some really good stuff but I can't recall what it was.

The London in New York uses Molton Brown. They make good stuff. Blackberry Farm uses Aveda... That is my wife's favorite.

Hotel Indigo, they use Aveda products. At least they do at the one in Waco.

Beau rivage used to have pass Christian soap company toiletries. Not sure if they still do. Those are the best.

Haven't been in a few years, but The Palms in Vegas had a body wash (it may have been an Axe product) that was awesome for waking you up after a hangover. Used to love that shite.

Mainstream I like the Marriott and Renessaince stuff. If you aren't brand loyal than most boutiques offer better toiletries

Soap is soap.
And "infused" means nothing. It's comical really.

Mariotts usually have pretty good shampoo.
The Peabody gives away those duck soaps which are cool, but suck trying to use in the shower.

Not really the best, but I dig the scent of the Bath and Body Works Coconut Lime that Holiday Inn uses.

False.
Many different factors change the outcome of soap. Different oils contribute different qualities. Avocado oil-moisturising,coconut oil- hard bar, deep cleansing, etc.
Also, infused oil allows for therapeutic properties from plants like calendula flowers to be added to soap.
(I make soap)

I like the Westin's products, but that's my favorite chain, so I'm probably biased.
***For those simply dropping the name of the best hotel you've ever stayed at, the guy travels for work. I'm assuming he's looking for your recommendation for national/international chains--not Boutiques, Resorts, and other one-offs.
