Haven't lived in Orlando area, but have family in kissimme so have spent lots of tie there. What kinda work are you going to be doing our here? At the hospital I would have to guess? I'm desperately looking for something closer, I currently work in Arlington and as I said the drive and traffic is the only complaint I can make honestly. Wife works in Legacy area, less than two minutes from the apartment and it is absolutely fantastic for her, I just need to find something with less of a commute and then would have nothing at all to complain about.

nice. I used to live in downtown Orlando, liked it there. Bought my first house in Kissimmee, hated it. Bought another house in Clermont 1 year ago, and I love it in Clermont.

correct on the hospital, on the revenue management side of things, not clinical.

Whit poeple, dry county, mellow, fast growing area, about 2 trillion kids and soccer moms errwhere. West(new) Mckinney is where I was two years ago. Brookstone. Kids went to Elliot elementary, Spanish Schoolhouse and Imagine Academy. Frisco ISD is great and all of the sub divisions are nice. There's a Cheaper than Dirt there in Mckinney and Cabelas in Allen. ....Allen, the high school with the 60mil football stadium.

I am about to move there from Houston, only doing so because my wife took the kids and filed for divorce up there.

From what I can tell the Dallas area sucks compared to Houston.

Funny, I was supposed to move to Houston - West side.. Katy , Cypress area.. and commuted back and forth for 16 months until my son graduated from HS. Houston sucks way more IMO compared to DFW.. No zoning laws, traffic way worse. Only thing Houston had was it was closer to Gulf, and seafood choices were much better.. that's all.

All the school districts are independent in DFW. Even the shite Dallas ISD.

We just bought in Southlake (had owned in Las Colinas before that). I would love to be in the Frisco area but that would be too long of a commute for both of us.

My preference would be McKinney then Frisco then Plano.

To me, this area just seems so cookie-cutter and boring. Great place to raise a family though I suppose.

I am guessing that lawyers would tell you that this is a very bad idea

Get a lawyer and send it to local Houston court to bring her butt back

Just a FYI but you can get an in and out burger in the area. I spend a lot of time in plano for work. Always lots of choices to eat. Always felt relatively safe. Seems to be clean. Nice area.

Plano isn't dry anymore.

I live east of Plano near Wylie. Less dense and less traffic than west of Plano. I'd look near Murphy/Sachse/Wylie. Frisco is just too overcrowded to me.

Great area honestly. I lived in Addison (basically still North Dallas) before moving into Uptown but the Plano-Frisco area is really nice.

If demographics are a factor you should check this out. Many different neighborhoods even within the same city.

Frisco is crowded as shite. I work at the StoneBriar Center. Most people here are living way outside their means.

Little Elm is cheaper, The Colony is smaller but growing rapidly due to 121 and Tollway growth.

I live in Crossroads, near Aubrey on 380, traffic is fricking nightmare.

If I had to live in one of the cities you listed, McKinney would be it. The others are fine, just crowded and everything is the fricking same.

P.s. if you can't tell, I fricking hate this area. Hope you like tornado warnings all spring.

Speaking of Frisco, there is one large patch of undeveloped land right in the middle of it worth about a billion dollars (bordering Preston, east side, a couple miles up from the mall). My crazy ex-boss owns it.

Yea, Little Elm does seem nice.

whats up with Savannah?

Looks great, huge, crazy affordable houses, not far from Frisco or McKinney.

What's the catch?
