OT runners ... Zydeco Marathon full/half options

It's next Sunday in Lafayette ... online registration is still available at www.zydecomarathon.com.
They just hit the 2000 mark for registration ... not bad for an inaugural event! Oh, and the full is a double loop of the half ... nice route though.
(Lafayette/local people, y'all come out and show your support on the course!)

Any marathon with a double loop is not going to be fun.

I'm in agreement with that ... I'm running the half. Not sure if the city asked them to do that OR if it just wasn't easy to find a "pretty" route for 26 miles. Being that it's the first year, I'm guessing that the city asked for it this way.
At one point, I was told there were 500 marathoners and 1100 halfers ... not sure what it is now.

Should be a good one ... the bands are pretty big names and the food, well, I hope there's enough!
Someone on here mentioned in a prior post about their sister running the half. Wonder if there are any others?
