Hello,

I left a 5 month internship off my application and resume for a job I interviewed for. The application did not say to include all jobs or all past work history. Would there be any issues? This job has high security clearance. What should I do? Should I contact HR and include it? The internship did not end well

I wouldn't leave it off the security clearance application.

Was the issue on your end or theirs?

Agreed and if asked about it I'd say that I didn't have a great experience with it nor did I feel it was a relevent job experience.

If you leave it off of a SF-86 and they find out about it, which they likely will, then it will be considered "evasion" and you almost certainly won't get the Clearance.

A resume is one thing but the Clearance paperwork is going to require a complete history including time gaps that have to be explained.

How drunk are we talking here?

Little slurring of words drunk? Or inappropriately groping managing partner's wife drunk?

ETA: moot for purposes of question- I'm just curious. Absolutely include on any form for clearance.

If you got paid or listed this for a credit reference elsewhere it will surface in the background check.

NO TIME GAPS.

ZERO.

I know this beyond doubt.

What is the benefit of leaving it off, what happened?

nm I see you answered this. I would put it on there, you dont need to give detail of why you left or got fired do you?

Well should I notify them or wait until they offer me the position? I normally don't include that internship for applications
