The memory maker is fine for family pics posed in front of the castle or Spaceship Earth....but that's it
Ride photos are included as well.

I understand that. I've used photopass many, many times. But he isn't going to use his camera to take ride photos anyway. There are a lot of people that photograph in Disney things other than their families. So just telling him to use memory maker and leave his equipment at home makes no sense.

That's because you take pictures with a cellphone that are more likely going to come out blurry, grainy

I didn't think my pics came out all that bad.

That's because the UK pavilion at Epcot has special lighting in the area preventing any pic from eve being grainy.

My advice is to rent a Panasonic LX100 from lensrentals.com for the week. It's small enough to cram in a pocket (as long as you're not wearing skinny jeans), has excellent IQ, and a fast lens. It just doesn't have a huge zoom range.

A 7DmkII is an awfully heavy camera to lug around all day at Disney. I wouldn't want to carry one of my D7000s into the parks if it was a family trip. Kids and wives don't want to stand around while you take photos (unfortunately!).
