Correcto.

Leave them be. They will multiply and provide some nice ground foliage.

From the looks of the first pic, about a dozen species have invaded. Not sure you have any real grass there bud.

Virginia Spiderwort.

Roundup should take care of it, but I usually just keep mowing it til it dies when it pops up in my yard.

Don't use a 2,4-D herbicide as this is a monocot and likely will laugh at you if apply it on this.

It's definitely spiderwort. I actually think it's pretty. My niece and I made ink with some of the spiderwort that grows near our property line. It was considered a very useful plant by Native Americans.

Roundup would probably work if you don't like it
