16? Where you tee off in the playground?

Not sure. The one where the green is surrounded by sand.

I really like that course and 2300 per year membership is not bad at all. That includes your cart.

That is a good deal. The practice area is fantastic. The range is one of the better ones around.

I play there at least a few times per month. They plugged the greens about 6 weeks ago. They didn't top dress them properly and they were as bad as they've ever been for 4 weeks after that. Only recently have they started to putt better, but they still show signs of being plugged. Rained bad Tuesday out there, but it needed it. I'm not too happy with the new greens keeper out there, but he's doing the best with what he inherited I guess.

What is the par 5 on th back where you tee off perpindicular to the fairway and if you go through you are in huge mounds with the ball 2ft. above your feet? That is not any good either.

Hah. Hah. You guys are a trip.

A. Hit a club other than Driver to come up short of mounds.
B. Shape your shot

You want every hole to be a straight away 390 yard Par-4 with a 200 yard wide fairway with no rough, bunkers, water, native areas or uneven lies to a massive green that funnels all shots to the flag?

Go bowling for Christ sakes.

This.

Recently on vacation I played four really nice courses.

I'll rank them in order:

Ventana canyon in Tucson.
Sands Hollow in Hurricane, UT
Sedona in Sedona , AZ
Bali Hai in Las Vegas

I also learned that I cannot putt worth a shite. I shot consistent 84-87 but averaged 9-12 three puts a round.. I would need a lot of practice on those greens out west.

A nice draw works just fine, or hit a 3 Wood, Big Bomber. There's a reason they let you bring 14 clubs with you.

Patterson. CC, will you buy me some clubs so I could hit a nice perfect 30 yd. draw?

I usually try to set myself for a 100 -125 yard shot at the green, that where my accuracy is best. I can take a full shot with my 60 or 52 at that range and not have to worry about distance and finessing the shot so much.

A shot started left of the pot bunker, just right of the trees on the left with a draw will not run through that fairway. If you hit a high ball, you can take it right over the corner and be inside of 200. If you can't hit a draw, take a 3 wood. It's a three shot hole any way.

Just cause a hole doesn't fit your shot shape or "eye" doesn't make it a bad hole. That hole wrecked my career round last summer, but I didn't hit the shots.

Atchafalaya is probably the best designed course from a strategic standpoint in the area. It takes imagination and knowledge to play it, but it's a lot more fun to play than LaTour, TPC, The Bluffs, etc..
