If going straight and fast is all you want in a car, then I'm sure that one won't disappoint.
If you want to experience everything else that a car can offer you, then there are plenty other vehicles you can spend $100K on and enjoy just as much.
Choice is yours.

Fastest production car ever made is a pretty stellar achievement.

Yep. Some of the people in this thread are acting like they are Nico Rosberg.

I wish I could win and quit like Nico.

840 hp? That trans won't last 10k miles
Road and Track is reporting it will have the six-year, 60,000-mile drivetrain warranty. I'd like to see the fine print for sure!

I think the car also only comes with a driver's seat as an option. No passenger, no rear seats.

Correct and I believe those options will cost you $1 each...

Limited to 168 due to the drag radials.

If your mechanic friends spent 90k on a track car and can't run faster than mid 9's, then they are either terrible mechanics or even worse drivers.

Anyone who pays 105k for a dodge has got to be the stupidest mother fricker on the planet.
Don't be stupid. People have paid millions for classic Mopars. The Demon is a future classic as is the Viper. People will pay well over 105k for these vehicles at Barrett-Jackson 2057

LOL
It was slightly tongue-in-cheek, but these cars will seriously be collector cars in the future. Hellcats and Demons are the Hemi and 440 6-pack cuda's of today.
ETA: also at people in here trying to compare Mustang GT350's and Nissan GTR's to this thing. So dense...

I was wondering how long it would be before one of the big 3 built a pure straight line production car.
It was called the COPO Camaro

Can't wait for a better manufacturer to make a competitor to this.

This car has no place on the market.
So it can run 9's in the 1/4.
One time then the track officials will kick you off for not having a roll cage and they will never let you back.
If you're going to produce a vehicle that runs 9's then at least make it practical for its application.
