Hope everyone is having a great week. Southwest's been having some decent sales so that's where most of the deals are for this week. Allegiant also has some good prices out of MSY to Cincy, Tampa/St. Pete, Columbus, Indy, Pitt, and Orlando. All prices are for a roundtrip ticket, I find everything using google flights or southwest's calendar feature. Any requests let me know

New Orleans to:

Denver: $166
on Southwest, $118 on Frontier, $207 on United. Deal on southwest is good until the middle of April, mostly Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturdays but some Sundays or Thursdays thrown in

Fort Lauderdale: $104 on Southwest, $120 on United. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays until the first week of March

Miami: $120 on United. A few wednesdays and saturdays from now until the end of february

Chicago: $88 on Southwest, $90 on United. Much better availability on southwest. Goes until the second week of march. A few Friday- Monday weekend trips on United.

Dallas: $82 on Southwest, $98 on United. Mostly tuesdays, wednesdays, saturdays. Goes until the middle of April. Good availability on southwest

Houston: $116 on Southwest, $121 on United. Goes until the first week of March

Atlanta: $150 on United, $160 on American, $168 on Southwest, $196 on Delta. Until the first week of March

Las Vegas: $87 nonstop on Spirit. Last two weeks of January, bumps up to $107 in february.

Orlando: $90 on Allegiant. Cheap dates in february or early march, then the rest of the days are around $100. Flies into SFB airport, not MCO. Departures on Sundays or Thursdays only! It's only $110 to go over mardi gras Thursday-Sunday...

Cincinnati: $98 on Allegiant. Thursday or Sunday departures only. Price goes out until the end of April

Indianapolis: $90 on Allegiant. Thursday or Sunday departures only. Goes until middle of May

Pittsburgh: $104 on Allegiant. Monday or Friday departures only

Columbus: $100 on Allegiant. Thursday or Sunday departures only

Tampa/St. Pete (PIE): $78 on Allegiant. Fly Fridays or Mondays in June, July or August

Jacksonville: $78
on Allegiant. Thursdays or Sundays starting mid april through summer.

Unfortunately they don't have this pricing around Mardi Gras.

Oh yeah. Google flights doesn't have some of the Allegiant flights though so I'm finding those on their site. Really cheap deals on Allegiant from MSY, not sure why but I'm not complaining. Might fly them for my usual tampa trip in the summer

What dates do you want for chicago? January, february, march? Jan 12, 13, 16, 30, Feb 3rd has a $44 fare up there, Feb 1, 16, 21, 22, 23 29 has a $44 fare back to MSY on Southwest.

Mar 4- March 7 $90 on united
Mar 11- 14 $90 on united

My dad just booked LGA-DFW for $81 roundtrip on American so there are certainly cheap fares for the route. That cheap fare is available for Dallas-Laguardia March 29-April 5, but you'll be on the weekends so it's gonna be a bit more.

Southwest:
DAL-EWR: $91 up on the 31st, $183 back on the 3rd.
DAL-LGA: $107 up, $137 back.

$161 March 31- April 3. DFW-ORD-LGA up on United, return LGA-DFW on American.

$183 March 31- April 3 DFW-EWR and EWR-DFW nonstop on united.

Spirit sucks, but for $78 roundtrip Saturday morning to Sunday night I'm strongly considering a 36 hour bender in Las Vegas next weekend

thanks!

I'll keep checking back. How soon would you say I should book for the best price? Do you have a rule of thumb for this?

nice. I've never been to Vegas but if I keep seeing these $87 or cheaper fares I'm gonna book it one of these days. For that price I can suck up my knees hitting the back of a seat in front of me for a few hours

Plus the cost to bring a bag on board and the cost to sit in a seat.

Best price is usually 1-3 months out. It really depends on the route, but I've noticed/heard of a lot of the $82 roundtrip on NYC-DFW recently on southwest, virgin, and american.

I'd say keep an eye open over the next few weeks until we hit the end of january. If you see something less than $186 for nonstop flights on your dates, you may want to book it. $186 really isn't bad by my standards for a nonstop roundtrip on united, let alone for a thursday- sunday

You see anything for the first weekend of September - LSU game?

Out of NOLA or BR, flying either into Chicago or Appleton, WI.

There's no seat cost of you don't choose a specific one. I always sit in the exit row so it's an extra $50 which I don't mind paying.

you can use this bag as you free Personal Item. It's $30 at Costco LINK

$110 on spirit to O'hare, everything to milwakee is around $350, Appleton $450. You may want to hold off for a little bit until southwest extends their schedule that far, might find a cheap fare to midway
