Hope everyone's enjoying this wonderful weather, about to hit record highs here in Philly today and Christmas day. Found a great deal to Milan so if anyone's interested there's great deals from Philly or NYC basically any day January through early May or late August through October. Will have to work on finding a placement flight up to NYC or philly, but it's possible. Any requests let me know.
Merry christmas and happy holidays everyone
Nola to Chicago: $87 on United, random dates in February or March
Nola to Atlanta: $141 on American or United, $162 on Delta. Goes from January until May
Nola to Fort Lauderdale: $114 on United in January and February. Limited dates (mostly Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
Nola to Austin: $164 on Delta or United. Tues, Wed, Thurs in January, February, and March, then Tues and Sats in April and May
Philly to Milan: $554 on Delta or Alitalia, $591 on American. January, February, March, April, early May, then late August, September, October
NYC to Milan: $554 on Delta or Alitalia, $563 on United. January, February, March, April, early May, then late August, September, October
NYC to London: $468 on Iceland Air, select dates in April and May. Otherwise it's about $550. Connection opportunity in Reykjavík, could explore iceland for 26 hours before getting back

What site do you use to find these flight? I always found Skyscanner was the best for international and kayak for domestic. Am I wrong?

I always just look at google flights or browse on flyertalk. Setting dates and just using the map to find the cheapest location on google flights is why I like that, plus the calendar can tell you if you've got the cheapest dates. I've never actually heard of skyscanner, is it any good?

probably be best served if you only put flights from New Orleans, Houston and Dallas since most of us live in this general vicinity

Yeahh I was thinking about that, but if someone wanted to make a longer vacation by going to NYC then Milan I figured this might do, especially with the deal running through May and starting back up in August

not knocking you. Appreciate your threads.

The only time when I used skyscanner is when I was overseas. I was able to get flights with smaller european airliners for under $100 round trip. Say like a trip from London to Amsterdam, much cheaper than a train. When I fly domestic I tend to check Frontier first, then southwest then I'm going to city that does not cater these airliners I use kayak.
I do extensive research though and usually like to book my flights mid week to save a few bucks (for leisure trips). I've always been told the best time to book a flight is after 2pm on a Tuesday. Not sure if that is accurate but rarely do I spend asking prices say if I go through delta, american, united website.
I've found deals on Frontier and Southwest to Atl and Denver for under $100 round trips. You can also find pretty cheap flights to NYC or DC out of MSY if you book mid week. It's also good to delete all your cookies before you use a site like kayak or booking.com.

Any good flights to either the UK or Germany next year out of NYC? $550 to Milan isn't bad.

Did this 2 years ago with the family based on a thread posted on TD. Great trip. Milan isn't that great (but watching a game at the San Siro was cool). It is centrally located though and can be used as a jumping off spot.

Sorry to bump the thread, prices in the OP are still good as of today
There are surprisingly. Iceland Air from JFK to London is $468 roundtrip on select dates in April and May. Even in June it's only $615, plus some of these tickets have a long layover in Reykjavík (26 hours) so you'd get to explore iceland for a full day before getting back
Frankfurt is at $589 roundtrip up until the second week of March, after that it jumps to $649 in April and May.

I'm also seeing Nola to Vegas in January for $71 round-trip.

That's a great price, it's on spirit though. You'd have to account for a bag (~$50) and a bigger seat to not be miserable so maybe it's about $150 total
