I will never, under any circumstances, understand the facial hair/beard thing going on with these kids.

My senior year at LSU, I grew out my beard for no shave November. It was noticeable that I got more attention from girls in the bar. I literally had instances of girls asking other girls I knew ,"who's the guy with the beard" and hitting it off with thema. I'm not some good looking guy either. Girls (at least some) just like the beard.

Where do most of their members come from? Can't be from the delta, Little Rock, or Hot Springs areas. I've literally never heard of anyone going Pike

Basically any scrub who is willing to join a "frat". Can't say that I know a single one.

Sigma Chi=Delta/wannabe delta LR guys
Kappa Sig= NWA, NEA and some LR
SAE= LR, Hot Springs, Dallas and whats left at PB/White Hall
Phi Delt= LR metro, Dallas and other TX places

Any of the others aren't worth joining.

Yeah, I just can't see being happy after being arrested. Especially after a "fight" like that. That's literally just a gang assault. I'm on board with them spending a little time in Federal Pound-Me-In-The-arse Prison

I wasn't in the frat scene so I'm not sure how this should work but I would like to think the frat brother who got beat down by 5 guys would have his brothers handle this with or without the help of the legal system.

They should be charged with and convicted of aggravated assault, and hopefully a thing or two more. If I were the judge, I'd go minimum 10 years for each kid.

Do yall see any difference between this and the black guy that smoked that homeless woman the other day? That one guy got charged with aggravated assault for that one hit.

Depends on the situation. If it started as a fight that the guy who got jumped started, I look at it a little (not a whole lot, but a little)differently. Now the charges should be the same, 5 on 1 is just absurd especially taking it to the level of his injuries. But an unprovoked attack vs. a fight between two people that got out of hand when others joined in isn't the same thing.

From the article, it's pretty obvious that they continued beating him after he was unconscious. Seems like aggravated assault to me

After looking up the law in MS, it is aggravated assault

Yup, it's not like it was just a casual punch here and there. To me, it reads like they were kicking him repeatedly while he was unconscious on the ground. The concussion and busted ear drum were when he was conscious. I'd bet everything else happened while he sleep

Wait, you mean butt-chugging is actually a thing? An alcohol enema? I thought it was a term of derision, i.e. Those frat boys are acting like butt-chuggers.

Glad you aren't the judge.

Unless this is a troll, that is so stupid. 10 years is a fricking monster sentence and does not fit aggravated assault. This country just loves to over-incarcerate.

Also, we don't know if the victim punched one of them first. I doubt it because toolbag Pikes do shite like this all the time at Ole Miss, but we don't know.
