That's what it comes down to, although I'll concede I know a lot of people who jumped on the Bama bandwagon because it was what everyone else was doing. And for the record there are a lot of kids from uptown, old metairie, etc who DO go to LSU.

We went to Oxford this weekend and had a few corndog "insults" thrown our way. My standard response was "corndogs are fricking delicious." The poor Ole Miss Bear fans seemed disappointed that I wasn't offended. A group of Bear fans near us brought dozens of corndogs to taunt LSU fans, but ate them all in less than an hour, proving my point about the culinary masterpiece that is the corndog.

General consensus of the OT was that either that retort was too inventive for the likes of me or I didn't have the actual courage to say it because I got several "that didnt' happen" comments. So I challenge thee Sir to prove the truthfulness of your statement much as I have been called upon to prove my own veracity.

If the corndog "insult" is the worst thing people have to say about LSU fans, we must be doing something right in Louisiana. Also, I'm pretty sure the "you smell like a corn dog" insult has prompted many fistfights in preschools throughout the country.
