(CNN)A man pleaded guilty to cocaine possession in Oklahoma -- only to withdraw his plea and have his case dismissed after it turned out to be powdered milk.

Cody Gregg was sentenced to 15 years in prison last week after he pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, according to court records. His guilty plea was the result of an August arrest and charge of trafficking illegal drugs.

After a lab report showed a negative test for drugs, he withdrew his plea, court records show. On Thursday, an Oklahoma County judge approved the request, leading to a dismissal the next day, according to The Oklahoman.

Gregg, 26, told the judge that the powered milk was from a food pantry, according to the paper. It said he was riding his bike on August 12 when an officer tried to stop him because he had no rear lights. He pedaled faster then jumped off his bike and fled, and officers found the white powder in his backpack, the paper said, citing an affidavit.

He was released Friday after being in jail since his arrest in August, the paper said.

Why did he plead guilty?

Must've grabbed the wrong bag and thought it was coke.

So... why did he plead guilty if he knew it was powdered milk?

He should have hired Dan Kaffee. He could have gotten him off with 15 days.

That has to be what happened, right?

He bought what he thought was coke, got ripped off, and it turned out better in the end. He runs from the cops because he thinks it's coke.

Only thing that makes sense, he thought it was real and that’s why he pled. But how did the test on it take so long that he was able to go through getting a lawyer, pleading, and being sentenced before results came back?!

The CNN article doesn't mention that the dude is homeless. Maybe he's been on the streets so long that he doesn't trust cops. But I agree that confessing in this situation is a dumb move.

Is a terrorist who has a fake bomb guilty of intent to use a wmd?
He bought fake coke, but his "intent" was to distribute....so guilty. 15 years or he may renounce his citizenship and be given 30 days to get his affairs in order, and given a one way flight to any other country that will have him.

Because, sometimes you can bond out if you plead but they hold you till court if you say not guilty. It's bullshite but happens to poor people all the time.

"Inside the baggie was a large amount of white powder substance that I believed to be cocaine based on my training and experience," the officer stated. "The white powder inside the baggy later tested positive for cocaine and was a total package weight of 45.91 grams of cocaine."

How many homeless men have 45 grams of coke on them?
