The thought was I'm sure there are a bunch of other people out there that were playing that song all day too that won't buy the album just because they pulled her songs from Spotify.

But I guess there are more people who will go put down $15 to buy it because they can't listen to it. Teeny-boppers will always drive record sales.

You might as well get used to it, until Spotify pays these bigger artists more money to listen to their music, they should all do this for new albums.

Probably 100,000 people on spotify that listened to her new album but didn't buy it because they could just stream on there resulting in a MAJOR loss of money for the artist.

Bigger albums are going to start doing this, pulling it from Spotify for a month or so until sales level out, then put it back up.

FYI, Swift's label did some bullshite when Red came out. They withheld it from Spotify for a entire year. My daughter thought it would be on Spotify on her Ipod and I ended up having to buy her the CD.

frick her label. And spotify needs to increase prices/payout and get all artists on board. Or some other service will.

I have had Spotify for almost 4 years and it's the one thing I wouldn't mind paying double for, IF they got kinks worked out, more lables on board, and let me have two users online at once on same account.
