Well, unless the pilot had some other overarching goal besides suicide, then it would not fit the definition of terrorism.
I'm not sure if "hijacking" excludes the pilot. For example, I can't car jack my own car(at least I've never seen it used that way), even if I have passengers.

true, but i don't understand why he would have turned everything off, and signed off "all right, good night", if it was a suicide. why hide it? why not show the world what you are about to do, rather than cover it up?

Well I'm certainly glad it's been found. Now the national media can get back to debating Obamacare
This is just the beginning, we know where the plane is, but not why or how!

Typically hijacking is the term used cause the pilot doesn't own the plane, like you own your car.

Good point.
Regardless, this plane being in this area from where it started is pretty wild, mechanical or not.

CNN is live right now. They just posted a tweet from an ABC news guy who is riding on the plane.

I read somewhere this plane has the old CVR that only records the last two hours of flight. If this thing was on autopilot and everybody was dead by then, there may not be any answers.

I thought they all only recorded the last 2 hours? The flight data records last 15?

Apparently the weather is really bad in the area currently. Not sure how clear pics will be.
Sure hope they get something before it gets dark in the next few hours.

Radar Hits of 'Significant Size' in Indian Ocean: Flight Crew
By ABC NEWS Mar 20, 2014, 12:22 AM
A flight crew scouring the southern Indian Ocean for a missing Malaysia Airlines plane tells ABC News that they're getting radar hits of "significant size," indicating something lurking below the water's surface.

This is truly amazing and awful at the same time.

You got me laughing. Interesting topic but I can see a debate for 20 pages so I digress.
