Officer Killed In PP Shooting Was A Pro-Life Pastor

I wonder if these #prolifematters folks will be called terrorists like #blacklivesmatters.

Well, if PP was the target the tPOS wasn't that bright anyway. Shooting at passing cars and at the bank and eye clinic before going into PP didn't accomplish anything other than getting the cops there sooner.

Of course, violent extremists are usually not that bright.

Possible. We'll figure all that out. Several aspects of the incident are in line with typical anti-abortion terrorism. The choice of weapon, the fact that he survived the attack, and the bags he left in the area all point to a political motive.

But there are other things that don't fit. I don't remember any other cases where someone who was anti-PP shot up the entire neighborhood, and PP itself isn't sure they were the intended target (which means he didn't call them baby killers when he was in there or anything like that).

Could be that the initial shooting was a diversion. Or he was a random crazy and thought including PP in the attack would raise his profile. Or maybe once the incident started, he saw PP and thought they'd be a convenient distraction or an ideal place to try to take hostages.

UPDATE: It appears that the shooting was “near” the Planned Parenthood location, not “inside.” The shooter barricaded himself in the clinic after wounding a police officer outside of an eye care center.

UPDATE 4: Witnesses are saying the shots were fired from Chase Bank, with the suspect then “ducking into” the Planned Parenthood as the police arrived

There were reports that he was using a rifle. That might be something a person would use for targeting a clinic (or anytime your targets were specific individuals). If you just want maximum carnage a smaller weapon or a higher capacity weapon would be more effective.

As far as the subject line, does anyone know exactly when the police officer was shot? If he's a pastor it makes me wonder whether they were assuming PP was the target and the office, being a pro-life pastor, thought he might be able to convince the perp to end the standoff.
