It was sold to the tennis people. Whoever they are. I forget. They're #1 priority is to get the tennis up and running. Zero maintenance has been done on the course in almost a year. It would take millions to get it back in playing shape. This is the first I've heard of them even being interested in reopening the golf course. Maybe plans have changed.

I hope I'm wrong. I grew up out there and love that place. Was driving the driving-range ball picker-upper when I turned 15. I'd love for it to re-open. I'll check into it some more. Maybe there have been some new developments. If there is anything of note I will bump this thread on Sunday or Monday.

All the golfers that used to golf there are now tied in with a 2 year agreement at the island

Can Pickles truly run this place properly and turn a profit?

A lot would come back. A lot of them just went with the BREC membership.

Maybe 30% of them. Not more than that IMO.

I guess. I don't think it's gonna happen anyway so it's a moot point. A damn shame though. That Cromwell guy really fricked that place over in the late 90s and they never really recovered.

I holed out on #16 from 90 yards there on 5/13/13 for a deuce. It was gone within an month after that.

I would love to see the place back open. But I hope they have a grasp on how much it will take to get it open.

Count me in as a supporter if they get it going.

A bar owner(Caddyshack or whatever it is) worth thousands is going to reopen a golf course that will require millions to reopen. Another delusional wannabe golf course owner. A basic maintenance budget alone would destroy him. Dream on and save your money fool.
