We were frat bros at LSU. he was a genuinely good dude in undergrad. Can't imagine he's changed with age. I think his wife is the same girl he was dating then. If so, she apparently thinks he's alright.

He hasn't. I worked for him for 8 years. He's a genuinely good person who cares very much about his employees and his clients. He is 100% a Christian and lives a Christian life.

Gordon is a friend. He is a fantastic person, has a wonderful family, and is extremely generous.

I know what his marketing budget is, but I'm not posting it here.

What kind of "fantastic person" uses religion to get legal clients and justify everyone having to pay more money for car insurance? Sounds like a piece of shite to me.

This is on the guy's website. Seriously. It's pathetic.

Gordon's Religious Beliefs That Pertain to the Law!!! LOL

Our Religious Beliefs

The primary belief that we want you to know about us is that Gordon McKernan and the partners of the Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys are Christians. The reason we want you to know this is because it is our hope that through our actions, our thoughts and our speech as attorneys we will accomplish our two main goals: (1) bringing glory to God through the Gospel of Jesus Christ; (2) and pursuing justice for our clients.

At the Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys, we not only care for your physical and financial well being, but more importantly, your eternal well being. That is why we want you to know about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and what it means to us and hopefully to you. Now we realize that by putting these beliefs out in the public domain we have raised the bar for ourselves and have potentially opened ourselves up to jokes, criticism and scrutiny. We accept this challenge and do not undertake it lightly. We realize that although as attorneys we pursue justice, we are still sinners who will make mistakes and are in need of God’s grace. We ask that when we fall short and make these mistakes that you would be patient with us and forgive us just as God does. Briefly, we will explain these two main goals.

Justice refers to the “quality of being just or righteous”. We believe that in helping injured people we are pursuing justice. Further, we believe that these two ideas of glorifying God and representing people who have been injured, are not incompatible, but are very much in harmony and supported by Scripture.

I love the downvotes in this thread. Gordon and his worthless shitbag competitor Spencer Callahan are both worthless.

Do these ambulance chasers get snickered at when they go to the big law party deals? I know they don't lose a lot of sleep over it but do they at least take it on the chin when it comes to disdain from the rest of the legal community?

This guys gets it. The only down votes are coming from other scumbag ambulance chasers that drive up the cost of everyone's car insurance.

Yes, I'm sure he makes more money than I do, but I also don't want a plaintiff PI practice. Did it briefly, and no amount of money offsets the BS with the clients, drs, etc. I do pretty well in my niche, and am happy with it.

And sure, I'll say it. McKernon, Bart, Callahan, etc., may be the greatest guys, parents, bosses, whatever on the planet, but they (and their advertising ilk) are responsible for changing the practice of law from a profession into a business. Yes, I know atty advertising is legal, but so what? Adertising based law offices are cheesy, and based overwhelmingly on high-turnover high-volume grossly-discounted-settlement-just-to-close-the-file-and-get-paid matters. But whatever, it's all about the money, right?

Lots, I assume. But he was incredibly smart putting his building right there on I-10 near College. Thousands and thousands of vehicles a day.

He's going to be outdone by "the other guys" in town, who are building one right next to Pastime Lounge at the foot of the MSB.

This one has a helipad too.

That business has had a marvelous impact on insurance premiums in Louisiana.

Drive from the airport to Mall of La...you'll pass at least a dozen of those damn things.

Y'all sure that U High lets him put his logo on the back of U High shirts? My daughter goes there. We receive emails about the use of the logo about twice a year. They're pretty strict about associating it with any other entity.
