Hell, the stay at home order has probably decreased at least that many murders typically committed in that same time frame.

I thought the murder rate in NYC wasn’t bad anymore
This isn’t Baltimore or New Orleans

NY had 900 gun related deaths in 2016 and 300 Occupational fatalities in 2019. That's 1200 deaths in a year if the former category stayed the same (likely higher). That's 100 deaths a day, and it's only two categories!

Obvious sensationalism is obvious.

New Orleans better step its game up if it wants to keep competing for the title of most helpless panic stricken urban area.

900 gun deaths among a state 20million people seems low

Is there a registrar of voters there getting each 'person' to sign an "x" by their name so they can be sure to vote this fall?

WHy the frick is this news??? What is the difference between putting a body in a freezer in a truck vs putting the body in a freezer in a building ....they aren't performing funerals right now so you have to do something with these folks until we can put them in the ground.

After 13 dead in a city of 11 million?

Leaders "prepare for the worst and hope for the best." US deaths yesterday: 223 with nearly 100 in NY. It will get worse before turning the corner.
