The comments everywhere overwhelmingly support him, which is positive to see. The new CEO that NPR hired is exactly the opposite of what they need to right the ship. This editor saw the writing on the wall. He'll probably go work for The Free Press now.

The new NPR CEO is the ultimate rich white girl from Connecticut stereotype. It’s absolute stereotype perfection.

You'd think the Babylon Bee used AI to create her....maybe they did.

I have a game I play with NPR. I will tune in and listen until they say something about race or racism. One time I made it almost a minute.

It get about 1.5% of its operating budget from federal funds, which means it really should be able to make up the difference in donations, ads, whatever. Defund it now.

They get that directly. They get about 32% indirectly via fees from local public broadcasting that got it from the feds. And they don't really have a choice. They should be defunded but it's harder than it sounds.

The "white male Westernized construct" historical concept is inane. In the Arab Middle East, you'll have an "Arab male Middle Eastern Construct." In Asia, you'll have an Asian Male Construct. Historically, there aren't any female constructs, transgender constructs, gay and lesbian constructs, etc.

History is male driven.

NPR has been super biased for some time. Like a lot of media, they've become more brazen and open with their slant since 2016.

The virtue- signaling educated white women who ingest this cultural vomit regularly don’t care. Just give them more hushed-tone tales of the prevalence of gender fluidity in book store employees, and they are good.

NPR are puppets of the ruling class; particularly the far left wing elements of it.

most of NPR isn’t news. Shows like Radiolab, Way with Words, and Wait, Wait… are pretty well done and worth the listen.

Does NPR have anything to do with these shows except that they are aired on the local station affiliated to NPR? They are either produced independently or by the radio station after all and NPR does not seem to have any input.

Also I gotta add Hidden Brain to the list of great shows

Pre Trump it was biased but occasionally provided interesting insights. From the moment Trump was elected it became deranged in its coverage of domestic stories and everything is now seen through the lens of the urban progressive worldview. It’s now just another fledgling domestic agit prop platform for whatever messaging the DNC wants to spread that day.

The Trump presidency mentally broke a huge number of people on the political left. They were already prone to embracing delusions and lies, after all, they wouldn’t be leftists otherwise. But he absolutely made them lose their last bit of a tenuous connection to reality. You could be debating with a leftist whether strawberry or grape jelly is best on a PB&J, and they’ll bring Trump into the argument. It’s quite funny, yet pathetic at the same time.
