Anyone live in an area where they may see them?

Nothing yet in Old Metairie. I’ll keep an eye out.

We’re right on the edge of the possible viewing area. Not sure how much we would see in the city. Supposedly between 10 pm and 2 am, so I’ll check before I go to bed.

That solar storm may not end the world, but it is going to produce some damn nice pictures.

I'll hit my Twitter feed up in the morning and see how it went.

Im going to get up at 2:30, to out the road a bit and see if I can get some pictures. Should have full sky coverage which is rare.

Is this the beginning of the solar storm that’s gonna kill us all?

Wow….I didn’t know the northern lights were ever viewable in the lower 48 states!

I’ve seen it in the Midwest but it was pretty underwhelming tbh. Just a static green glow in the sky

More often than you'd think. They were visible a couple or so weeks ago, but not quite that far south.

This related to those solar flare things that were supposed to end the world today I guess?

From Duluth, MN last year.

Obviously, that's pretty far north for the lower 48.

Any chance of Maximum Overdrive happening in some of those great big cities up north? Would be fun, possibly productive.

A few weeks ago, there were photos from Arizona on Twitter of the northern lights barely coming over the horizon.
