Am I the only person who thinks this is the most ridiculous horse shite in the world? They can't get the bums out of the street, they can't solve any real crimes, they're completely understaffed, but they can put 2 officers under the bridge standing in oncoming traffic for seatbelt violations?

What a bunch of fricking morons.

You're talking about cops.

Do you expect them to do something productive? Lol... the cops in my town were all people who got picked on in HS and couldn't find any other work. Those are people who become cops.

It's usually grant money, Federal or otherwise, funding seatbelt checkpoints, not the department deciding to allocate such resources for that purpose. Probably officers working extra above their regular shifts.

The beggars are out of control. I usually pass 4 on my way home, and it is about 1.5 miles from my office to my apartment. Sometimes its 5-6. Shits ridiculous.

Thanks Obama!

Federal funding of checkpoints needs to stop.

I give 0 fricks about seat belts or $45.

Let's talk about NOPD investigating the 3 burglaries(2 of a vehicle) an attempted mugging and an arson of my property. 0 arrests, 0 indictments, 0 convictions. That's why I'm pissed.

Ok we will make it short.

Seat belt ticket= $ for the popo.

Arresting and housing the folks that did crimes on your property cost the popo money.

See the difference

It's a tax collection point.

If you're belted, you are exempt from the tax.
