they are against labradoodles?

They just think there are millions of homeless dogs and breeding designer dogs for vanity purposes is stupid.

They are the "Adopt A Dog" people that frequent dog parks.

Its a funny conversation because we have a Goldendoodle

ETA:

Lots of people are like that. We get guilted all the time at dog parks by smug people who like to point out they adopted their dogs.

Dog attacks are obviously more likely to require serious medical attention due to their size, but a cat will frick you up on the reg.

I like dogs too much. How do I know?

Because in a horrific story about a DEAD BABY, this is the part where I went "man what an awful situation"

I have to think the infant pulled its tail or ear as it was walking by or something.

Not likely. They don't have the muscle control yet

All I could think about is how I would tear that dog limb from limb.

Golden Retriever and a Standard Poodle. Its an absolutely incredible dog. Smart as a whip, nicest animal I've ever been around (they all are), has very obvious emotions, etc.

They all have very similar personalities. I couldn't think of a better pet. They don't shed much either because of the poodle in them.

Our guy looks like this:

He knows like 30 commands, its awesome.

Sometimes a little stubborn to "go upstairs" when we have people over though or go to the "house" when the weather is cold.

I haven't had to leash him in years. Doesn't leave my hip when I go check the mail or walk down the street to see a neighbor, etc.

This is ours. Best picture I seem to have online.

Wife picked it out for our daughter. Poodle/retriever mix. Good with kids and doesn't shed. But still a diva poodle who barks a lot. High maintenance with the fur too.

All of that information is false or unverifiable. Using dogsbite.org as a source is a like lifting your statistics from a crazy hobo doing Mel Gibson impressions.

There are serious professional organizations like the AVMA and the CDC that give informed opinions on animal policy. They have seriously studied the issue and concluded that dog breeds are not a variable that should be addressed in the way that people who would like to ban "pit bulls" would like to see done.

That's fine, but even the most "favorable" studies on pit-bulls and Rottweilers suggest they're markedly more dangerous than most breeds.

That's awesome, but always leash him. Dogs run, knock into old lady or children, they fall and suffer injuries, and welp

Oh our guy is a diva himself.

Has a spot on the couch and bed and if we're in his spot, he stares at us an lets out a low groan

If we're in bed and he has to use the bathroom, he will lay on our heads. He's 70 lbs so it gets our attention

But, he roams the whole house all day while we're at work and nothing bad ever happens. He just sleeps and occasionally barks at the mailman.

I mean, I do if I go further than a house or two away or see stangers on the street. I carry it with me (or he carries it his mouth).

A little. Nothing like a german or even a lab.

He sheds like chicks shed in the bathroom. It doesn't really get on your clothes, but you'll find hairs laying around.

We can't let our girl roam because my wife has 2 cats that won't die yet. The dog wants to play, but doesn't know how to NOT run after them. When that happens, they hide under our bed and eventually piss on something.

We let her out at night when our cats are shut up in the room. She has a spot on our couch and snuggles in with a look of "please let me just stay here, I'll be a good girl."
