No, we should not send our military to Ukraine. But can we speak the truth?

Putin is an autocrat who rules his country with an iron fist. He is corrupt. He controls information through state media and suppresses free speech. He has invaded a neighboring country that voted for independence over 30 years ago (with over 90% of the vote) and has a democratically elected government.

This is bad. It’s bad for democracy. It’s bad for economies worldwide. It’s bad for freedom. It’s bad for civilization. There is no good way to spin this, no matter what the Putin fanboys will tell you.

Anyway, back to Kelly & Ryan. They’re discussing 10 minute dinner recipes.

One of the most bizarre aspects of this whole thing is how some people in this country have turned into Putin fanboys and started parroting Russian talking points.

You could say the exact same thing about the democrats in this country. Are we really that much better?

And you need to calm down. Maybe do a thought experiment about how you would react if Mexico was in talks to join forces with Russia and China and start importing weapons from them.

Putin gonna Putin

The time to stop him was 15 years ago.

Remember the Obama “hot mic” with the Russian ambassador? Basically admitting treason to help the Russians back then on video and…

“The 80’s called and wants its foreign policy back”

Don’t think for a second the Marxists didn’t see where this was heading. Too late now. It’s their war, not mine.

Furthermore if he gets away with it we may see other countries with similar situations try to "reclaim" territory ie China/Taiwan NK/SK

The outcome of this will have huge ramifications.

Borders and sovereignty need to be respected

Why yes, yes we are.

Astounding that this actually has to be said. I understand not liking the other political sports team, but some of you need to get a grip.

This is the classic lefty talking point for the last 6 years. Any sort reasonable discussion about the matter gets turned into this line of thinking because the typical democrat isn't capable of rational, critical thought without overbearing emotion.

Yup. So is the American government since 2001. Why don’t we fix our own country before we send people to the other side of the globe.

Putin is a bad person. He’s a power hungry authoritarian socialist and his waging war shouldn’t be supported or cheered on. It’s dangerous and it’s setting up a global conflict. Those countries in Europe can fight him for a while and beat him back.

Here at home, Our government is wildly corrupt and out of control. Our society is divided and full of hatred. Our economy is circling the toilet and our workforce is apathetic and disengaged. Our manufacturing is basically dead. Our energy production and rare and precious material capacity is pathetic. Our border security is abhorrent. Our media and news agencies are nothing more than state propaganda. Let’s get a handle on the things destroying our country before we worry about other countries.

America doesn’t currently have the backbone or resources to defend the globe. We can’t even defend ourselves. We need to strategically plan how best to defend our country and how to best fight these powers. We can’t just jump into a hot war and spread out already paper thin resources into nothingness.

Why don’t we all come together and get our country under control before we divide ourselves fighting about how to handle other countries.

Maybe if we spend the next few years rebuilding this country’s independence in manufacturing and energy and production then maybe we will be prepared to fight a global threat. Maybe. At that point maybe if other countries have been fighting to keep Russia and China at bay maybe we can step in and help beat them all the way back.

We need to rebuild local and state powers. We need to reinvest in actual American jobs and growth sectors. We need to reign in the federal government. We need to end the wild spending and unnecessary outsourcing and allegiance to foreign countries.

All of this is true, but Ukraine needs to be responsible for Ukraine and not rely on us to fight for it.

We are, but the point is it might not be by as much as you think. And if one side was unopposed it may be a wash.

Anyway, back to your point. What do you want to do about it? You want to send our boys over there to die on foreign soil fighting a European war for a bunch of pussy countries that have all lost their way?

Okay, then. Let's discuss.

Why do you think Russia is doing this? And what is your opinion of it? What do you think the consequences are?

Also, please don't come in with the "CIA doing work," crap.
