Why you wouldn't buy a Porsche instead of that I have no idea.

Nice, but for the price I'd prefer a Lambo that was a couple years old.

I'm not buying any. I just thought the video of the plant was pretty cool. I have two older model Mercedes just because I like the style of the model. I had an old Porsche but got rid of it.

A Merc sports sedan, yes...a true sports car like that GT, just give me a Porsche. That AMG GT is cheaper than a Porsche though.

I have a good friend who's looking to get into another Porsche and said this is "on the lot" at the dealership in NOLA. Used with 3200 miles...they're only willing to knock off 6% MSRP at this point though...so there it sits (showroom this week). Probably $60k more than the AMG.

No cheap for sure. There is a thread on a few car forums about a guy who got an estimate of $57k to replace the engine in his R63. He decided to try to rebuild it himself.

Had a friend that had a couple Porsches and let me drive both, I was majorly disappointed. The ride was extremely stiff in both (and not the good kind), steering was sloppy, and neither were anything special as far as speed. The older of the two was 4 years old at the time and the interior felt like it was falling apart and not solid at all.

I had a Volvo S60R at the time (that I paid 1/3rd the price for) and it felt like a high-end AMG by comparison.

Yea this same friend had a Carrera S 10 or so years ago and said it was full of plastic on the inside, road rough, the radio was cheap and lacked basic features...and he said he got attitude from the dealership like..well Porsche drivers don't care about that stuff...now he says it's night and day...total daily driver with the nicest appointments and amazing everything...and very damn expensive compared to his previous one.

That one pictured is pushing 2.5 (2.75 or whatever) second 0-60...WTF kind of speed. They made it 2" longer which translates to more interior room.

Steering is never sloppy in a well maintained Porsche.
