Positive equity at the end of the lease can occur. I'd research out the depreciation of the car beforehand, on a 2-3 year old model. You can roll the positive equity into a new lease or cash it out, so options are available.

No, because when you lease you're dealing with the dealership's bank directing. Usually Ally Financial, GM Financial, BofA, or Wells. State regs only apply.
