Good luck. My boy is hyper. Get to obedient training as soon as you can. Being that they are such big dogs, an untrained one can do some damage. Acclimate her to other dogs as much as you can right now also. Excellent guardians too.

Oh I see so your one experience should be heeded and all the veterinarians who advise otherwise ignored?

I have been. She's met a lot of people and multiple dogs so far. She likes playing with my corgi the most at the moment. Not sure how he'll feel when she doubles in size shortly
We'll eventually be out on 23 acres too, so I won't have to worry too much about others dogs at that point. And I already catch her sitting at my feet standing guard and keeping a watch out.

Then I'm glad I don't use you because all the vets I've had advise against it. Specifically cooked bones. I'll stick with their advice and not chance it.

You pressure cook the chicken not boil. Bones turn soft and mushy.

I'm not pressure cooking chicken to feed my dog. I'll stick with dog food.

I didn't do it every meal. Buts it's great for them. Fat, bone and marrow. You really could feed them raw chicken but I didn't. Cleaner to pressure cook. I don't remember how long but I think it would take about an hour. You could take the bones and you could press through it with your finger. Keep the stock and mix it with dry food.

Vet won't tell you to do it because there is a risk that you won't cook it long enough. Both my mastiffs lived long lives. frick put it in a blender if you are worried about bones. Raw is better but I don't like handling that shite and the dogs tend to be pretty messy.

Don't care. Not going to feed my dogs bones. $$ must be sweet with a diagnosis of intestinal perforation. Not any of my doga!

Been thinking about getting a lab to play with the Great Dane. I know they are great hunting dogs but how are they as house pets?
