While I agree with you, but the article is either very poorly written, or not alot of details. The one detail they did release was "robber" which generally means he was armed or led the victim to believe he was armed. Me thinks if the perp wasnt armed, it would read "New Orleans thief gets shot in the chest" But with NOPD, who knows what happened... probably an attempted homicide that they didnt feel like doing...
