Was this off Elysian Fields and N. Claiborne?

ETA: just saw your link. I got a notification on my phone earlier from WWL TV about an office involved in an incident.

NOPD Offficer reported to be shot dead

WWL.com Reporting
A New Orleans Police Officer has reportedly died after being shot in the head Saturday morning.

Information is just coming in, but it appears an arrested subject who was being transported by the officer somehow got a hold of a gun in the car and shot the officer.

The police cruiser crashed near the intersection of North Claiborne and Elysian Fields Avenues just before 9am.

Sources say the officer was taken to the hospital, where he died.

A SWAT truck is at the scene of the crash, where it appears a manhunt may be being initiated.

The cop should have asked him nicely not do that.
Maybe he could have been nicer to the young man and this wouldn't have happened.

Prayers to the officers family.
