New home designs

Are builders and architects incapable of coming up with new designs outside of this template? I swear, every single home now is some sort of model or version of this style house. Other than a different shade of muted paint, they are all essentially the same.

When developers do an entire neighborhood they tend to keep homes similar so that similar people will move there, prices will be easier to figure out, and materials can be used throughout the neighborhood. There are many reasons why you will see similar houses in a neighborhood, but different neighborhoods have different kinds of homes.

Those houses would be semi-unique in almost any part of the southeast.

Those designs look to be a function of lot size and setbacks.

That's the new style of homes in Nashville. Tall and narrow homes. I hate them. They take a lot of the character out of neighborhoods.
