there are native american tribes on the east coast that have a very specific DNA scar that is only found in European genetics. not to mention the arrowheads found in Virginia that are approx 17,000 years old, and found nowhere else on the planet except southern France

it seems likely that there was a small cluster of humans in North America 37,000 years ago but that they died off or never grew into a significant population size.

Or they all got snatched up by aliens for medical experiments (b-hole probes).

Imagine being the first primate to step foot in North America. Streams full of trout. Buffalo every where. No culture. Must have been nice.

Buffalo likely only became as numerous as they once were after all of their natural predators were annihilated by Europeans.

The first settlers had to face dire wolves, saber toothed tigers, American lions, giant flat nosed bears, vultures with 20 foot wingspans, mastodons, mammoths, all manner of other wolf species all over the contingent,, mountain lions from coast to coast, grizzlies as far south as Mexico, and so on. frick that.

Cool story. Graham Hancock makes a good case for ancient civilizations being in the Americas, North and South too. Has done a few Joe Rogan podcasts discussing. This clip for example.

I read his book. It’s choker block full of evidence for stuff like this. And also goes into how the orthodoxy of archeology is set up not to consider different theories and ignore or poo poo contrary evidence.

I wonder if they found teeth marks on the rib bones of that mammoth? ‘Cue-in since 35,000 BC!”

Several ice ages have come and gone in 100,000 years, many "land bridges" for access. And we're to believe modern humans only came to the Americas 12,500 years ago. Poppycock I say.

They came from Africa and went across the globe through Asia. The Americas were the last continent they came to.

Not sure why that seems hard to believe.

It’s bullshite and there has been no serious evidence presented in its favor. You can Google Solutrean hypothesis haplogroup X if you’re curious.

The sub-groups of X in Native Americans are unrelated to the subgroups found in Europeans and (especially) Middle Easterners. There are X populations interspersed throughout Siberia, especially in Altai. X more generally is also mostly concentrated in the eastern Med, not in Western Europe. Likely a founder’s effect phenomenon for the New World population.

I don’t find it implausible at all that a group of people made their way from Europe to North America during the late Pleistocene but the genetic and archaeological evidence isn’t there at all, and quite a few researchers were pretty open to the possibility not ten years ago or so.

As a contrary example, the evidence that humans have inhabited North America for at least 20K years has been building for a while. This is just the latest (and likely earliest) example.

Piggyback on what you’re talking about. Younger dryas period and the meteorite that hit the ice in Canada, causing massive flooding across North America as well as other parts of the world. Younger dryas was approximately 12,000 years ago where the earths temperature warmed up tremendously in a short period of time and cooled off again. It’s the same timeframe as the story of the great flood in the Bible and many other ancient writings, the same time all large North American mammals were killed off, the same time the Clovis culture disappeared. Graham touches on this as well as Randall Carlson. It is very Interesting.

Sounds like them Injuns crossed over from Asia 12.000 years ago and committed genocide on the old white baws who were here first.
