Why the frick is Baton Rouge closed today? Drove i10 E from Acadian to Seigen and couldn't get back the other way. Is it really that fricking bad?

Just a guess here, but they probably closed I-10 W at Siegen so they could get people to detour to Airline & the old bridge since the new bridge is closed. If they leave it open much farther, it creates a huge clusterfrick of people trying to get off the interstate later on and clogging up even more city streets.

Now I'm not sure why it's closed in both directions, except maybe some of the entrance ramps were iced over earlier.

WAFB facebook post says I 10 and new bridge are open as of 2:00
