the blame for Jindal, Foster, et al who put the exact same kind of people on it when they were in office?

I get your point, but I think most people don't think that businessmen and liberal trial attorneys are the same type of people.

Bottom line, though, they're pay offs for supporters. I guess each person has to decide which is sleazier than the other.

No shite, its a political appointment and the group you listed doesnt have any money or power, sorry.

What a shame, LSU will never be able to compete nationally.

I've got more bad news, LSU doesnt compete well regionally...in the South. So is that Jindals fault?

That is one of the biggest things holding LSU back. I like the way Penn State selects its board, ~1/3rd is political appointees, ~1/3 of the board is elected, and ~1/3rd is selected by the major industrial & commercial groups in Pennsylvania. Penn State, Temple, and Pitt are also "state-related" universities. They receive funding from the state to give in-state students a discount, but their board is relatively free of political influences and state funding makes up less 10% of their budget.

Its the fault of every major politician in the history of LSU. I guess you're willing to accept business as usual as long as its your guy and the other guys were equally as bad

I voted Vitter... Intelligent. Oxbridge educated.

Had actual ideas on his website about how to fix Louisiana's problems.

But honestly, what would you expect from Edwards? Everyone knew what he was when they elected him. Just like Obama. You get what you ask for.

Right. Because LSU and Louisiana as a whole were thriving under the Jindal administration.

Anything would be better than the 15 spineless political cronies that Jindal appointed.

Louisiana politics...meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Edwards doesn't even make a pretense.

I get that but at some point you have to more like a mercenary and less like a martyr. Noble? No, but the reality of our society.

Political connections, I get it. But does LSU really want a "Morris Bart" representing it? Vitter may well have used a whore. Morris Bart Junior is one.
