the swift completion of their appointed rounds.

But if they don't FEEL LIKE IT, they can just stop delivering your mail.

I noticed we didn't get mail for the last four days and called the post office to see what was up. It seems that fat lazy frick just decided on his own that he didn't want to deliver mail to the residents on my street. He said that we need a central box on our street and that until we do, we will have to pick up our mail at the post office.

He will use the shade from our beautiful oak trees to park his mail jeep under for a relaxed lunch time break.

This kind of efficiency is coming to a doctors office and hospital near you!

Edit: USPS has a lot of problems where I live. They were a lot better in my old neighborhood.

Why are you comparing the postal service to the medical field?

That's bullshite, are you on a walking route or a drive-p mailbox route?
There is a plan to do away with walking routes to save money, but to my knowledge it hasn't been implemented. Get your neighbors all to call the post office and complain, if that doesn't work call the district office in Dallas to complain.

Man, when you can't get fired.

Yay unions. Yay civil servants.

It's actually one of the few responsibilities actually numerate to the federal government in the constitution

The same can do attitude that pervades the postal service will also infect all aspects of government run healthcare. Watch and see.

We are a new street in southdowns and are on a walking route. Mailboxes, as directed by the post office, are on front porches. We have no mailboxes on the street.

This is just someone that simply is too lazy to do the job he is paid to do. Funny thing is that he has delivering mail down this street for the last two years.

yeah that sucks, we had a great mailman for years, then he retired and we get a string of new ones. One lady likes to skip our street some days and then just double up on the mail first thing in the morning the next day. One day, no mail, next day overstuffed mailbox first thing in the morning. It's odd. We are a walking route as well.

How are they going to put all those Amazon packages in that?

It might not be a matter of not feeling like it. They could have given him more routes and it's just not feasible to walk to everyone's house and get all the mail delivered.

The central box is such a great idea. I mean the mailman can do in 2 minutes what would take 15 walking

I'm assuming he's trying to make the connection that the government can't handle delivering mail so it definitely won't be able to handle government run healthcare, i.e. Obamacare

90% of my Amazon Prime orders are delivered by USPS. My 2 day delivery usually ends up being 3 day delivery.
