I only wear a suit maybe twice a month. I think Jos A Bank quality will probably be fine for my needs, especially at their prices.

So, traveler, executive, signature? any recommendation between these?

Any other place i should check out?

Go to Dillard's. They will probably still have stuff on sale from winter.

Bought a blazer from J. Crew recently that fits better than any of my others. I'm a slim guy and I think they sort of tailor to my body type. Have a few JAB's and a few Ralph Lauren's. Good price on it too.

I've had really good luck with Banana Republic suits, but I only wear a suit 3-4 times/year, so I can't really judge quality. But if you catch them on a good sale, they can be had for under $300 or so.

I got 2 suits for hella cheap at belk a couple weeks ago. Then I got them tailored at this Indian place in the ghetto also for hella cheap.

Jos A. Bank will give you 12 suits free for every 1/2 suit that you buy.

With all seriousness Men's Warehouse bought Jos A. Bank and has been doing away with a lot of these promos. As a result the company is tanking.

If Jos A Bank quality meets your needs, go for it. Go elsewhere and get it tailored at somewhere that is well-reviewed.

For better suits, shop sales at Nordstrom and Dillards.

However, for things of higher quality, I buy about 50% of my suiting on ebay. Only new, only solid makers (BB, Hickey, etc.). Throw a hundred per suit at tailoring (if even needed).

I don't consider myself a suit snob, but I can't do lower (larger) arm holes anymore.

The brands Dillards carries are as high quality as you can get before you start getting into the upper class stuff. They will get you fitted and do alterations. I recommend them especially to people who are new to wearing suits.

It's definitely a solid one if available.

I've had decent luck with HSM gold trumpeter suits from Dillards. On site tailoring is hit or miss though.

I do think the HSM fits aren't as good as some others, but they certainly are higher quality than Lauren or Jones New York or the lower end dept store brands.

I got a couple suits for college interviews and such from them and I can say they aren't the best at all. I won't even wear them anymore.

But every once in a while, I stop in the one near us and pick up a few traveler shirts and slacks when they are on sale (outrageously priced for what they are when they aren't on sale. I'm not paying $200 for Jos A Bank pants). I have to say for just wearing to work everyday, they aren't bad at all and can be had pretty cheap during one of their ridiculous sales.

I have ordered them online, just using my jacket size and they come out of the box tailored.. Sometimes have to take up the pant inseam.

Go to their store in Dallas, and get tailored up, pay no taxes, have it sent to you with custom tailoring, get treated like a king while buying 500 dollar suits... cant beat that
