Don't want to spend over $300 if possible.

Just want something durable that looks nice.

TIA

Any reason someone would spend $250 on this vs. a simple Timex Weekender?

Seiko is a brand that has a lot of good options for under $300

Of all the random subjects in the world to discuss, watches seem to be an OT favorite.

a coworker has a Weekender that he changed the band on and it looks great.

I'd look into the Orient Ray or Seiko 007

Orient Ray (what I currently have)

Leather strap or SS band? I got my dad this Citizen for Christmas, and he seems to like it. It was cheap and he didn't have a leather banded watch

I have hairy arms and the metal watch bands constantly pull at my arm hair. (Sorry for the graphic visual).

Anyone else have this problem? Are there better metal watch bands that don't pose this problem? I usually just wear the leather bands, but they wear out faster and don't look as nice, IMO.

Style is not something Seiko generally does well IMO, but a dive watch is probably the only application in which if own a quartz watch.
