I'm finally upgrading from my duffel bags. Going on my first vacation in years and would like to find a great set of luggage that won't break the bank.
I do a lot of travel for work now so I will get a lot of use out of this set. I'm seeing some great reviews on amazon.
Any tips and suggestions are greatly appreciated. TIA!

Briggs and Stratton are the cheapest with a lifetime warranty. I like mine

If you just want a quality roller, victorinox

It's Briggs and Riley and they do make the best luggage but it's not cheap.
Briggs and Stratton make lawn mower motors.

Apologize I disappeared.
I mostly do a lot of flying. Stay in hotels weeks at a time.
ETA: With that said I need something large enough to hold at least a couple weeks worth of clothes and some field gear.

I have plenty of seabags.
I want wheels!
So after looking all of these brands up on amazon it looks as though I'll be spending between 3-$500 on just one suitcase. Geezz..

A flight attendant friend of mine recommended the Delsey brand of luggage. I think in particular, the Helium model. I picked up a 21" roller piece a few years ago and I must say, for the price I'm impressed. It's probably been used 20 or 30 times(mostly air travel) and it still looks brand new. The reviews on eBags are mostly good. I paid less than $100 for the bag

Although I have a couple nice Tumi pieces, I have had really good luck with the Delsey as well. I bought a couple of the Delsey from TJ Maxx and a couple from Macy's to make a matching set. Decent enough to last and not so nice that you get pissed when the baggage handlers mark it up.

Go on Amazon
I got a great Diane von furstenberg set from there for much cheaper than it was anywhere else
Be sure and get swivel wheels. Remember it'll get super dirty at the airport so get something dark

300-500 on one bag is ludicrous. You can get something quality for much less
I probably spent 500 or a little more on my entire set. I got a rolling weekender, boarding bag, 21" roller and 27" roller

We bought our son a set of Briggs & Riley a couple of years ago when he was going to do some traveling. Lifetime warranty that I've heard they honor with replacement pieces.

Go to a discount store like stein mart or tj max and buy a 30" roller for $99; they will have several decent brands (samsonite, american tourister) to choose from. I travel 100k+ miles a year and these bags are just fine. You don't have to spend $500 on a Tumi.
