Had new brake pads installed on front and back tires on a 4Runner for ~ $450. Rotors may run another $50 each?

I think new rotors might be more than $50 a piece. Turned for $50 each maybe, but I've always replaced.

Are you certain that you don't just need the rotors turned?

I had a dealer insist that I needed new rotors once. Turns out they just did not have a lathe to turn the rotors.

Amazon is becoming a decent place to buy car parts. Got a timing belt for $48 retail was $260.

Just did mine this weekend. Ordered the parts from partsgeek.com. Cost me about $100 for pads and rotors. Took me literally 30 min to replace them. Easy do it yourself project.

350.00. Buy your own brake pads and rotors and bring then with you to the shop you plan on going to. That'll knock it down to 125.00 or a bit less.

Yeah .....many will. 1.5 labor hours to replace pads and rotors. Roughly 100.00 to 125.00
