Need help for a family member

This family member had a crush on a MARRIED 26 year old female at his work. He recently found out that she is expecting a SECOND child with her HUSBAND. He is really down in the dumps and so he resorted to drinking very heavily and wants to do something else if you catch my drift. I and other people have told him that he had ZERO shot at her and that she was being nice but it has gone over his head.
He is drinking very heavily and nothing no one has said sinks in. He is 43 yrs old. How else can I help?

Tell him to get over her and leave her alone. If he's too dumb or stubborn to take that advice then he's the one who will have to face the consequences of his actions.
