I'd personally pick Denver, not sure if you are talking fun in the sun type vacation though.
Maui, Kauai, or Big Island would be nice Hawaiian destinations though if that's what you were looking for.
It's best to stay away from Oahu if you can, too touristy and you really can miss out on that relaxation aspect unless you know where to go.

We decided to go with Hawaii. Any suggestions to put on the to do list? I went as a kid so I have done pear harbor etc. I plan to take the SO to hanamau bay for snorkeling, climb diamond head, visit north shore.....any and all suggestions are welcomed.

ETA: we're actually stopping in Seattle on the way back and going to a mariners game and hanging out in Seattle.
