Doesn't have either

Apparently the plants shown are supposed to help filter the water. Also has regular pump and filter.

Part of the point though is none of the chemicals I'd guess.

There's not any. It's filtered by vegetation in a separate smaller pool. That is my main problem with it. It sounds good on paper, but I guarantee you I'd have a damned wild kingdom thing happening within 30 days of installation.

Looks trashy. I bet people instantly regret not getting a regular pool after they build this

This. There are so many awesome regular pool types that wouldn't turn into snake pits / mosquito orgies.

Yeah... that's not going to work in the South's climate. Within a week or so that thing will look like my daughter's goldfish aquarium when we let it go too long without cleaning it.

It's not natural if it's created by man.

To me it just looks like an overgrown koi pond. As others have said, down here it would turn into a water moccasins private neighborhood pool club. No thanks.

you ever see a pond on a golf course with has a fountain in the middle of it? Some ponds with filters and and pumps still get stagnant.

Most of those natural pools I've seen are in cooler climates. Mosquitoes can be a concern, but could be overcome. I'd be more worried about warm water and algae & pathogens, and also snakes. frick snakes.
