"Never underestimate Biden's ability to frick things up." Obama

The bill was also loaded up with policies designed to give emphasis to "under-served communities." Not exactly hot beds of people who want an expensive EV.

After renting an EV on a trip last year, I am glad that I decided that on my trip this year I can save an hour each recharging cycle by renting a gas vehicle. Five minutes at the gas pump and the gas car is full of this liquid called gasoline that is full of energy when mixed with air in an engine.

Additionally, states must submit proposals to the Biden administration for approval, solicit bids for construction and then can award the funds.

I was going to say this part is good at least but we all know that Democrats own shares in whatever company will make the components and they will be paid significantly over market value for the shite tier product.

Just waiting for the EV ball washers to chime in on this and how this article is "misinformation"

More than two years after President Joe Biden pledged to build 500,000 electric vehicle charging stations throughout the United States only seven are operational across four states.

Bull fricking shite. Oil and gas pays tons of royalties as taxes to this now dumbass country. It employs hundreds of thousands with high paying jobs who all pay taxes and payroll taxes and pay into social security and Medicare bullshite.

Also - because of our oil and gas, we have some of the cheapest energy in the world that keeps our industries competitive as energy costs are a major input cost to nearly every industry in the world.

Go fetch some cobalt from the Congo you cuck.

The feds are too proud to admit that this was a giant boondoggle. They always double down on this nonsense, because they've promised jobs/money/favors to their friends. It's not until they come up with a new scam that they'll drop this one.

I think people will have to understand a fully electric vehicle is for short trip driving only and needs to be charged at home.

Yes. Because all Americans should spend $70,000 for a car whose sole purpose is to drive to the grocery store and run errands within a three mile radius of the house.

The BS of a half assed written POS article should include the subsidies for every wind and solar farm. This means you don't know a thing about this waste of time and money.

Oil and gas are not half the cost of this fools pursuit.

Meanwhile every one of those battery charging stations are fueled by coal plants and fossil fuel powered lines.

Hopefully this program is one of the first to get nixed when Biden is shown the door.

Shown the door? Wouldn’t count on that happening. There will be some other deviant that gets elected.

They also must take credit card payments and certain components must be made domestically.

This and general govt convoluted process are the reason. One of the few things the IRA did right was make domestic content mandatory for access to funds, which has become the defacto DOE policy now. Beyond that, getting the govt to actually pay on these is a huge pain in the arse from what I hear from people who work on any of those programs. You’re basically asking for a retard to certify an engineers work and it’s typically govt nonsense and slow.
